Ar-Com.
- ACARS communication -
Generic and fully customizable web ACARS IATA and XML messaging system that enhances air-to-ground and ground-to-air communication by supporting configurable message routing, interpretation, and processing rules. Its web administration tool enables to easily adjust the processing settings to various avionics vendors and communication providers.

The Challenge.
In aviation, ACARS an acronym for Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System is a digital datalink system for transmission of short messages between aircraft and ground stations via airband radio or satellite. The protocol was designed by ARINC and deployed in 1978, using the Telex format.
The Approach.
The message routing is fully configurable and extensible. Currently supported network links include SITA, the internet, databases and files. New gateways can be added at any time.
The message interpretation, message processing rules and message display rules are also fully configurable. The user or administrator decides how the information should be extracted and manipulated, and how it should be presented to the user.
Features.
Ar-Com provides ground-to-air, air-to-ground and ground-to-ground data communication from anywhere in the world! Using a web-browser, you can securely run an entire ACARS messaging system, using the intranet or worldwide secured internet tunnels. These messages may come and go through any gateway you want. With Ar-Com, messages can be automatically encrypted or checked for errors. Ar-Com is made to be run by air carriers of any capacity; even small carriers can benefit from the true power of Ar-Com, at an affordable price.

Ar-Com Reporting System (ARS)
It is a web based system to view all messages received by Ar-Com in a list view, original view or custom defined view. On-Line can also send or up-link free test messages or pre-formatted messages, with or without certain controls and/or validations.
The message processing features of Ar-Com Communication can be used for:
- Message archiving in folders or database tables
- Forwarding to email recipients
- Capturing data
- Transforming text

Ar-Com – Studio: Data management system
This is the “toolbox” for the administrator of Ar-Com. In this tool the whole Ar-Com system is configured and managed, from the message definition up to the complexity of message routing. Wizards are built in for the most common routines.

Ar-Com Fleet Situation Display (FSD)
This is the Aircraft position, in flight, on ground, and the weather, current, forecast. With the possibility to define different views, filters and colours. A direct uplink to the selected aircraft is possible.
The FSD Service also has the capability to process position reports from the flight management computer, by comparing the flight plan with actual position reports the solution provides Flight Tracking capability with notifications by email.
