Business case: Aurubis

Aurubis is a leading worldwide provider of non-ferrous metals. They process complex metal concentrates and diverse recycling raw materials. Aurubis is the global leader for copper recycling.

B. Rekencentra N.V. developed a Web- and Mobile (tablets) application to support and administer the incoming and outgoing reception flow as well as the complete sampling process for raw cupper scrap.

For this project a strongly phased approach was chosen.

The application is developed in an open, scalable and maintainable way in which it is possible to later on add additional modules and requirements.

The goal was reached successfully after 11 months of perfect collaboration between Aurubis team and the development team of B. Rekencentra, using the Scrum methodology.

Business case: Umicore

Umicore is a materials technology group.

Precious Metals Refining can recover precious and other non-ferrous metals from a wide range of complex industrial intermediate materials and from precious metals-bearing scrap from electronic and catalytic applications. It sources these materials from a truly global supply base. Precious Metals Refining is unique in the range of materials it is able to recycle and the flexibility of its operations.

B. Rekencentra NV built a generic application for the production forecast. This application is a unique graphical tool that does predictive simulations for the total recycling flow. The operations can recover some 20 precious and other non-ferrous metals from a wide range of input materials ranging from industrial residues to end-of-life materials.
